Real-Time Video
SMP-WEBDUO, which features an AV-in connection, can play real-time video by directly connecting to a TV tuner, DVD player, or other multimedia devices. TV programs, movies, and even surveillance video can be easily adopted to enrich your digital signage networks.

SMP-WEBDUO supports four signal output modes:
Single Mode: connect to one screen
Clone Mode: two screens present identical content
Extended Mode: two screens link together and present content stretching across two screens

One SMP-WEBDUO digital signage player can control two screens in both portrait and landscape orientation for most popular resolutions. Above all, you can even define a suitable resolution by yourself to match your screen. This unique feature enlarges the display selection from flat panel displays to LED and multiple screens.
Flexible Platform for Extended Integration
SMP-WEBDUO can be integrated with other external devices to meet requirements from diversified vertical markets. For instance:
Touch Screen: easily extends to an interactive digital signage system incorporated with HID compliance touch screens.
RS-232: supports turn on/off screens, adjusts brightness, and controls other devices, e.g. lamps or control panels.
Mobile Phone: uses mobile phone (ex. iPhone) to change playlists
Web Server & Database: possesses great flexibility to integrate with web servers (RSS, weather, etc.) and databases, such as CAYIN xPost.
Energy Saving and Environmentally-Friendly
SMP-WEBDUO, utilized embedded technology, is equipped with a low power CPU/Chipset and reduces power consumption by 60% to 70%, compared to a PC.
SMP-WEBDUO can even turn on and off remote screens immediately whenever it is necessary or based on a pre-set schedule. Volume can also be lowered automatically at night. One can control this by your pre-set schedule so that the volume being used will become more environmentally-friendly.
Easy and Flexible Content Creation in Two Ways
Users can use CAYIN Skin Editor to define the size and the location of each zone in a multimedia mix of video, music, HTML/Flash, image, ticker, and clock. In addition, experienced web designers can also utilize any web-editing tool to create HTML pages with the greatest of flexibility.
Multiple Ways for Content Update
Multimedia content can be updated manually by USB flash drive (offline), FTP, and Network Neighborhood. You can also use the CAYIN CMS server to update the player’s content automatically through LAN or the Internet based on the pre-set schedule.
Mobile and Place-Based Digital Signage
SMP-WEBDUO can integrate with 3G and GPS technology to provide mobile and place-based solutions. Players installed in moving vehicles can playback contents based on location. Administrators can also locate each player on Google Maps and instantly have an idea of overall connection status of all media players.
Local and Central Scheduling
Administrators can edit a schedule directly on an individual SMP media player. They can also choose to centrally control multiple players in groups by a CMS server. After a playlist is edited, the player will playback multimedia content based on this pre-set schedule.
Easy Installation
SMP-WEBDUO is a well-optimized digital signage appliance, integrating both hardware and software, and saves you the trouble of both installing software and testing compatibility. The compact media player also includes wall mount racks for easy installation. All you need to do is to plug it in and the power will turn on!
Instant Remote Diagnostics and Preliminary Maintenance
Administrators can easily check log records and some important indexes, such as CPU temperature and fan speed, to perform troubleshooting remotely. Whenever an abnormal situation occurs, the self-repair mechanism (hardware watchdog timer) of SMP-WEBDUO enables the system to restart automatically. Administrators can also choose to restore configurations or recover system immediately, whenever it is necessary.
