Garmin fenix 2 New GPS Watch Standard, Says HRWC

Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) February 25, 2014

fenix 2 is the new ultimate outdoor navigation and fitness watch according to the Heart Rate Watch Company.

“This watch has stepped it up to a whole new level from the initial Garmin fenix,” says Rusty Squire, president of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, “Adding the run technology of the Garmin 620 was brilliant and then adding real-time connectivity features like text messages was over the top.”

What Is New

Swim features including laps, strokes, distance and swim efficiency have been added that are identical to the Garmin Swim and Garmin 910XT.

“For runners you can now get run oscillation, or bounce, along with ground foot contact time just like the Forerunner 610,” says Squire. He adds, “You can also get training recovery time and VO2max estimates if you buy the performer bundle which contains the HRM-Run chest strap that was originally designed for the Garmin 620.”

Get A Text On Your Watch

Garmin fenix 2 can take advantage of Bluetooth Smart to display text messages directly on the watch with an iPhone 4S or later version in close proximity. “This is pretty cool stuff for the younger users but might be a little tougher for the over 45 age group,” says Squire.

Swim Features

fenix 2 adds swim features similar to the Garmin swim and Forerunner 910XT models including laps, strokes, distance and swim efficiency. “This makes fenix 2 a viable alternative for swim and triathlon training,” says Squire.

Snow Sports Features

For skiing and boarding this watch should be the big-ticket. “Ski-Board mode puts speed, distance, vertical drop and an automatic run counter (with Auto Pause for the lift line) and more at your fingertips,” says Squire. He adds, “Plus you can remote control a Garmin VIRB Elite action camera with this watch.”

Call The Experts

“There is so much to talk about with the new Garmin fenix 2 that you really need to call us at 866-586-7129 and have a conversation,” says Squire. He adds, “Talk to experts that use, test , live and breathe nothing but fitness electronics.”
