BCI Bank Revamps Customer Experience Through Wavetecs Digital Signage

Santiago de Chile, Chile (PRWEB) June 04, 2014

Based in Chile, BCI is a financial institution serving customers and clients throughout the country. With a workforce of 10,500 people and over 300 banking centers, BCI serves a broad range of individuals. The company opened for business in 1937 and since then, it has built on the prestige of its full range of products and services as well as its best quality customer service.

BCI has constantly put its efforts in ongoing innovation, serving as the building foundation for its currently solid position in the Chilean market. With the goal of implementing new strategies to enhance customers’ and clients’ experience, and in turn BCI’s interaction with its stakeholders, the company set to find partners for developing and executing a digital signage project for banking centers and offices.

To meet the specific needs, BCI has opted for Donatello, Wavetec’s (http://www.wavetec.com) digital signage solution to optimize the utilization of the service area engagement alternatives. Within the project’s framework, which had its Implementing Stage in December 2013, a number of 32 and 55 inches screens have been set up in different BCI branches. Each of these TVs is wired to a Donatello trough an HDMI cable that allows HD content reception. A central web server wired to every device through a LAN or WiFi connection is responsible for the screens’ administrative operations.

Content programming and management are carried out from Donatello Suite software, easily installed and executed in any Windows laptop. The screens content is then customized combining a variety a modules such as date and time, the weather, TV programmes, and even social networks.

The project comprises the setting of 260 screens during the first stage until July 2014 to progressively reach the institution offices.

BCI Benefits

Engagement opportunities. BCI has now a new tool to devise an enjoyable experience for its customers and clients in a physical environment that may be used to build customer relations and so, impact on business outcomes.
Easy installation and maintenance. In case a Donatello Player needs replacement, any company representative is in a position to plug in the new equipment. The application starts working automatically.
Central management. It implies the control of each screen, which means that operational work is facilitated. The system allows the creation of user profiles and the granting of content uploading as well as content approval permissions.
Ideal customizing options. The content modules are designed on a flexible canvas, so there is room for the inclusion of all of BCI communication needs: institution information, the weather, date and time, social network postings, and live TV as well. Also, the tool can be integrated to the waiting line management system.
Advantages in costs: Donatello has been developed on the Android platform. This results in significant acquisition as well as software license updating savings which do not impact on the product’s high quality standards; i.e., reliability and performance. On the other hand, the solution does not call for heavy hardware investing, thus enabling scalable project execution.

About Wavetec

Wavetec has a long track record on providing solutions aimed at building valuable experiences within the service area, not only for consumers but also for organizations. Accordingly, the development of digital signage, waiting line management systems, and experience measurement provide full solutions tailored to meet every client’s needs in business such as retail, banking, or health from over 60 countries.

The high quality and technological innovation standards have paved the way for Wavetec’s work on solid projects for companies such as, Interbank, Barclays, Emirates Airlines, Tesco, LIDL Germany, and Chilexpress.

Simplifying Digital Signage

The digital out of home industry (Dooh) is quagmire of technical expressions, complicated business strategies and hardware challenges often involving multi-discipline teams of software engineers, networking specialists, AV engineers and advertisers.

All this can make embarking in digital signage a complete headache and also invoke large set-up costs, the return on which may never be forthcoming.

And the problem is amplified when you start thinking about outdoor digital signage when the costs of waterproof or outdoor screens are taken into account making it all a highly expensive prospect.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. While many digital signage projects are left to the experts, some users choose to embark on their own – and it is not as hard as you think.

There are many budget options available for digital signage that requires little or no expertise to enable it to function. Digital posters are one such solution. These indoor screens have everything required to run a simple campaign: The screen, digital signage housing, and a media player where content can be uploaded.

These turn-key solutions are easily erected on walls and are ready to upload content and used – pretty much straight out of the box.

Even the heady world of outdoor digital signage can be made simpler. Rather than investing in an expensive outdoor screen, a standard device can be taken outdoors, no matter what the weather, as long as it is well enough protected.

LCD enclosures are commonly used to protect screens from weather and temperature extremes present in outdoor locations. They can house almost any type of standard or commercial screen and keep it protected from almost any conditions: snow, rain, wind, hail and airborne dust are all kept out of the enclosure ensuring the screen can operate without problems.

There is often room for a small PC or media player in these LCD enclosures too so you can keep the content uploading device out of the elements too.

Outdoor Digital Signage Menu Board

INSIGHT DIGITAL SIGNAGE, the leading manufacturer of protective enclosures

for LCD and plasma display equipment, has introduced a completely weather

proof Digital Menu Board enclosure product.

The Digital Menu Board enclosure has been designed to endure even the

harshest of environments while constantly providing complete protection to

the LCD it houses. In the dead of winter, or in a desert heat storm, the

Digital Menu board enclosure maintains an appropriate internal temperature,

preventing any costly downtime and replacement from freezing or overheating.

The completely water proof Digital Menu Board will stand the test of time

where ever the location may be.

The Outdoor Digital Menu Board can serve as a single screen unit, or multiple

units can be attached for double screen menus and even triple screen menus.

The Outdoor Digital Menu Board will easily coincide with any existing signs,

advertisements, or menus already in place.

Digital Menu Boards allow users to convey their message more effectively than

static menu boards and reduces the cost of creating new graphics. With a

high bright display your menu board will be highly visible even in the

brightest sunlight. Our Digital Menu Board can even display eye catching

advertisements in addition to the menu products. Insight Digital Signage’s

Outdoor Digital Menu Board provides the most attractive and the least costly

solution for any outdoor menu need.

http://www.insightdigitalsignage.com/products_digital_menu_board.html

Digital menu boards for restaurant drive up windows are just one example of

outdoor digital signage. Similar to indoor digital signage, where LCDs are

used for advertising, branding, promotion and information, outdoor

applications take these vulnerable electronic units outdoors to where there

is typically a larger audience. Using LCDs outdoors does require protection

against rain, snow, wind, and vandalism. Proprietary and very expensive

outdoor LCDs are on the market, but the cost is usually far too great.

Perhaps the best solution for protection, value, and flexibility for LCD

displays in an outdoor environment is an LCD Enclosure. They can be

customized to suit almost any environment protecting any type of LCD display

from all elements and they are also far more cost effective than outdoor

rated LCDs.

In addition to outdoor digital signage enclosures, PC and LCD TV enclosures

are the perfect solution to display company or production information in wet

or dusty industrial environments such as factory or shop floors. Prices of

LCD and plasma televisions continue to drop. The falling prices are

encouraging LCD purchases for factory production floors for use in pushing

training content, quality control, sales data, production data and more to

the production floor.

The NEMA 4 or NEMA 4X PC and LCD enclosures are built with strong steel

material to withstand the harshest of environments, including pressurized

moisture, rain, dust, dirt, tampering, wind, oil, grease and more. Standard

cooling fans and optional AC units, heaters, and thermostats insure that the

LCD and/or PC inside the enclosure remains protected in any environment, even

outdoor, public, and industrial factory or plant environments that could and

can be very harsh.

Insight Digital Signage (A Division of PC

Enclosures, Inc.) is the leading manufacturer of

protective digital signage enclosures. Our

digital signage and LCD enclosures are the

perfect advertising solution for any location and

budget.
