Samsung Releases a Line of HDBaseT-enabled Commercial HD Displays

Ltd., together with the HDBaseT Alliance today announced the addition of HDBaseT to select models of Samsung’s large format display product (LFD) line. With the introduction of the new HDBaseT plug-in module, LFD installations become significantly simpler and less costly.

HDBaseT technology, powered by the Valens chipset, enables all-in-one connectivity between HD video sources and remote displays through a single 100m/328ft CAT5e/6 cable, delivering uncompressed high definition video, audio, Ethernet, control signals and up to 100 watts of power. The HDBaseT Alliance will showcase the HDBaseT Receiver on Samsung’s new ME75C full HD display at its booth, LVCC South Hall 1 #20215.

Avoiding video compression ensures installers do not have to sacrifice high image quality and delivery speed, and using a standard CAT5e/6 twisted-pair LAN cable with regular RJ-45 connectors makes in-field termination simple and fast.
